SIRT participated as a sponsor in Local Ciber, the First Local Cybersecurity Conference organized by Consorci Localret. The event was aimed at local governments and was created with the goal of sharing knowledge, real-world experiences, and best practices in an area that is becoming increasingly strategic for public administrations.
The event brought together professionals, institutions, and organizations linked to the public and technology sectors to address current challenges in digital security. It also featured the collaboration of the Catalonia Cybersecurity Agency, the Badalona City Council and Reactivació Badalona.
Cybersecurity for Better-Prepared Government Agencies
During the two-day Local Ciber conference, participants shared initiatives that are already being implemented in government agencies. In addition, the conference provided an opportunity to hear high-level presentations and discuss some of the challenges that will shape the coming years.
Among the topics discussed were the rise in cyber threats, the need to strengthen organizations' resilience, and the role that artificial intelligence is playing in this new landscape.
In this context, cybersecurity is becoming a top priority for local governments. Protecting public services, ensuring operational continuity, and safeguarding citizen information are increasingly important challenges in a constantly evolving digital environment.
