SIRT has participated in Greencities Málaga, a leading forum on urban innovation, smart cities, and sustainability. This year’s event was held at FYCMA in conjunction with the 6th Smart City Congress of the Spanish Network of Smart Cities (RECI), a conference focused on the challenges of urban innovation and the creation of more sustainable, efficient, and livable environments.
The event brought together municipalities, government agencies, companies, and experts involved in urban transformation. According to the organizers, more than 80 cities and municipalities participated in Greencities 2026 to share solutions, projects, and experiences in areas such as sustainability, waste management, lighting, digitalization, and mobility.
Greencities: A Leading Platform for Smart Cities
Greencities, Urban Intelligence & Smart Mobility has established itself as a meeting place for cities, companies, and organizations working to promote smart and sustainable communities. In this edition, the forum focused its content on innovation applied to urban management and collaboration between public administrations and the business community.
In addition, the joint event with the 6th RECI Smart City Congress reinforced the event’s role as a forum for dialogue among public officials, experts, and technology organizations. As a result, the gathering provided an opportunity to share experiences on urban digitization, smart mobility, sustainability, and new ways of managing public services.
