On October 1, from SIRT we participated in the 3rd ISMS Andalucía Regional Cybersecurity Forum. Organized byISMS Forumand its regional chapter, the event took place at thePolo Digital in Málaga. The conference brought together professionals and experts to discuss the main challenges in information security.
Representing SIRT, the following attended: Daniel Fernández-Viagas and Candela Vidal Ponce. Both participated in a conference focused on cybersecurity, governance, and the impact of artificial intelligence on organizations.
Artificial Intelligence and Risk Management
The program included presentations and panel discussions on thesecurity of agent-based AI, new attack vectors, and third-party risks. The sessions provided insights into different perspectives on how to address these challenges and adapt protection strategies.
The discussion also addressed regulatory challenges related toNIS2, DORA, and the European Artificial Intelligence Regulation, along with issues of digital sovereignty and resilience. These topics were part of the discussion on the evolution of security and risk management in companies.
Cybersecurity as Part of Business Strategy
Another key focus of the meeting was the evolving role of security leaders. The presentations highlighted the need tointegrate cybersecurity into business strategy—beyond its technological aspects—and to facilitate decision-making at the executive level.
For our team, it was an opportunity to hear about others’ experiences, exchange knowledge, and delve deeper into the challenges that are shaping the sector’s evolution.
